The controversy surrounding Michael Jackson and the ‘Leaving Neverland’ documentary keeps getting bigger, and now Louis Vuitton has joined the list of brands that are backing off of Michael Jackson after child sexual abuse allegations that surfaced in the documentary.

Louis Vuitton had a show in January 2019 that featured pieces from their upcoming Autumn/Winter 2019 collection with Michael Jackson’s likeness on them. The collection was supposed to go on sale in the summer.

Virgil Abloh issued a statement, saying “I am aware that in light of this documentary the show has caused emotional reactions. I strictly condemn any form of child abuse, violence or infringement against any human rights.” He continued saying “My intention for this show was to refer to Michael Jackson as a pop culture artist. It referred only to his public life that we all know and to his legacy that has influenced a whole generation of artists and designers.
