As HBO gears up for the airing of the controversial two-part documentary, Leaving Neverland, which chronicles Jackson's sexual abuse of two young boys, the network has to address the $100 million lawsuit levied against them by the Michael Jackson estate. The suit read, in part, that the documentary is a "one-sided marathon of unvetted propaganda to shamelessly exploit an innocent man no longer here to defend himself."

The estate attorney, Howard Weitzman stated: “HBO could have and should have ensured that Leaving Neverland was properly sourced, fact-checked and [a] fair and balanced representation."
