They say all rappers want to be athletes and all ballplayers think they have skills on the microphone, and sure enough, from Shaq to Percy Miller there's been notable examples of both cases over the years. With that said, while in recent time the likes of Damian Lillard, Iman Shumpert, and Le'Veon Bell have risen to the forefront of athletes with ability in the booth, on the flipside Lil Durk has arrived as one of the best emcees with skills on the court.

Although he never played for a team in school or on a professional level, last year Durk challenged a handful of rappers to play him in a game for $10,000, calling out other artists who can ball like Chris Brown, Quavo, Tory Lanez, Lil Pump, Young Scooter, YFN Lucci, Tee Grizzley, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Lil Yachty, Lil Dicky, and Bow Wow. Of all those names, Bow Wow was allegedly the only one who accepted the challenge, yet he ended up taking the L.

Meanwhile just yesterday (March 14), Durk posted a video of himself shooting buckets on the basketball court, catching the attention of prominent NBA players who took notice of his effortless ability to hit nothing but net.

"I’m the Chicago @russwest44," Durk captioned alongside the video," which led Denver Nuggets guard Isaiah Thomas to acknowledge his game by saying "Ok I see you." Later on, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kyle Kuzma retweeted the video with high praise for the Chicago artist, writing: "Bro you easily got the best shooting form in the rap game lol I see u bruhhh @lildurk."

With that said, Russell Westbrook has yet to confirm if he thinks Durk's game patterns his own.
