Update 03/12/2019 12:14pm:

A day after being arrested for allegedly smashing a man's phone outside the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami, the MMA star walked out of a jail with a smile after posting a reported $12,500 Bond for charges of strong-arm robbery and criminal mischief.

Prior to his release, McGregor's team issued a statement on his behalf, saying: “Last evening Conor McGregor was involved in a minor altercation over a cell phone that resulted in a call to law enforcement. Mr. McGregor appreciates the response of law enforcement and pledges his full cooperation.”

Meanwhile, though the incident is thought to have been captured on surveillance video, the footage won't be made public until "prosecutors give it to the defense, sometime after the arraignment 21 days after the arrest.”

Otherwise, it should be noted that McGregor had just finished his community service work after an arrest last year in New York, where the former UFC champion ultimately pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and avoided jail time.

Conor McGregor was arrested in Miami after taking a fan's phone and smashing it outside of the Fontainebleau Hotel around 5 am on Monday (March 11).

According to TMZ, McGregor didn't like that the fan was trying to take a photo of him outside of the hotel. He was subsequently arrested and charged with robbery/strong-arm and criminal mischief over $1,000. This comes shortly after Conor completed his probation for attacking a bus carrying UFC fighters at the Barclays Center last April.
