Following a recent report that a lawyer had unearthed yet another R. Kelly sex tape with an underage girl, TMZ now reports that prosecutors charged him with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse earlier this morning. It's been reported that over the last week, two women testified in front of the grand jury out of a dozen who had come forward, while one of the women apparently provided physical evidence.
Meanwhile, sources close to the case say the new tape was a crucial piece of evidence that led to the charges, while the attorney, Michael Avenatti, spent a significant amount of time with the Cook County State's Attorney over the last few weeks.
Although it's still unclear when the sex tape was shot, Avenatti says he's certain that it falls within the statute of limitations. Nonetheless, due to the evidence and the charges brought against him, prosecutors are now seeking a warrant out for his arrest.
