The Jussie Smollett controversy has gripped many onlookers and has garnered opinions about whether Smollett lied or not. O'Shea Jackson Jr. has been the latest celebrity to weigh in on the matter and he wasn't holding any punches while addressing the situation via Twitter. Jackson Jr. wrote:
"What upsets me about this Jussie situation is that people were genuinely worried about you man. And the things that you said happened could have led to some serious outcomes. People were prepared to fight for you bruh. Things coulda got ugly...... and you made it up."
O'Shea points out the seriousness of lying about a hate crime and how Smollett undermined the support he was getting from celebrities to those at the grassroots level. He later opined: "People could’ve gotten hurt. Thinking they’re protesting and standing up for you. This is not a game."
