Update 01/09/2019:

With the 91st Academy Awards still currently without a host, many people were wondering if Kevin Hart was willing to re-accept their offer after all the controversy that ensued. With that in mind, Hart was recently asked the question by Good Morning America's Michael Strahan, to which the comedian responded with a resounding no.

“There's no more conversation about it ... I'm over that, I'm over the moment.” Hart said in all sincerity, “I'm not giving no more explanation of who I am."

He later added that "I don't want people to think there's a thing between me and the Academy because there isn't. [things] didn't work out and right now from a time perspective, I don't have the time.

From there Hart spoke about his upcoming schedule, and how he wouldn't be able to dedicate himself fully to the award show that he's now moved on from.

In the above video, their conversation starts at 1:25.

Update 01/04/2019: According to Variety, the Academy is open to Kevin Hart resuming his job as host of the Oscars if he's still interested. This comes after Hart's appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show, where the comedian addressed homophobic tweets that were dug up after his hosting gig was announced.

Hart believed the criticism was due to people who wanted to see his career suffer, stating, "This was to destroy me. This was to end all partnerships, all brand relationships, all investment opportunities, studio relationships, my production company and the people that work underneath me. This was to damage the lives that have been invested in me."
