According to Billboard, Juelz Santana's impending gun-possession trial is being delayed as his legal team looks to enter plea negotiations. The trial was initially scheduled for early September, however, the delay will cause the trial to be pushed back till at least September 30th. The delay permits "defense counsel the reasonable time necessary for effective preparation in this matter and to allow the parties to enter into plea negotiations.”

Juelz was arrested back in March after a .38 caliber handgun was found in his luggage while attempting to hop on a flight out of Newark Liberty International Airport. In addition to the firearm, authorities say an unprescribed bottle of oxycodone was found in his carry-on luggage.

Santana was freed on bail in June as he awaits trial and had the conditions of his bail modified in order for him to travel and perform.
