The attorney representing Juelz Santana in his fight against a gun charge has entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf, thereby making it official that the former Dipset artist will be taking his case to trial.

Fans will recall Juelz recently being let out after spending close to a month in jail for allegedly attempting to smuggle a gun through security at Newark Airport in New Jersey earlier this year. The 36-year-old father of three and Totowa resident made headline news after leaving the airport ahead of the flight he had lined up for San Francisco on that March day.

Santana would, of course, turn himself in after spending a few days on the run. He was charged with attempting to bring a firearm on an airplane and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon for having the 38-caliber Derringer on him.

While under house arrest, the rapper has reportedly been recording music and has songs that spout features from the likes of Lil Wayne, Migos, and Gucci Mane. His lawyer is fighting to get him permission to travel so that he can travel for shows and appearances. When asked how he felt about the way Thursday's (May 10) arraignment went down, Santana told a local reporter, “It’s in God’s hands."
