Friday, April 6th, Juelz Santana was released from jail into the custody of his mother after being in police custody since March 12th. On March 9th, the Dipset rapper made headlines across the country after fleeing TSA agents and the authorities at the Newark Liberty International Airport when airport employees discovered a .38 caliber handgun and drugs in his luggage. Three days later, Santana turned himself in and now is seeing the light of day for the first time since his arrest.

Judge Michael A. Hammer released LaRon James better known as Juelz Santana after his mother secured a $500,000 bail bond with her Englewood, New Jersey home. Judge Hammer also forced Santana to surrender his passport and required the Harlem musician to wear a 24/7 ankle monitor while on 24-hour lockdown.

Juelz spoke with Keldy Ortiz of NorthJersey.com and had this to say upon being released from the authorities, "I'm just happy to be in God's graces... I was praying every day. He came through for me...just gotta do the right thing, do everything I need to do the right thing so I stay home."

Santana might be facing up to a decade in federal prison but, appears to be in good spirits as Cam'ron and the hip-hop community welcomed the rapper back to the real world.
