The infamous XXL Freshman list, 2018 edition, was leaked by DJ Akademiks on Tuesday naming YBN Nahmir, JID, Trippie Redd, Rich The Kid, Lil Pump, Smokepurpp, BlocBoy JB, and Steff London. However, it looks like a slot may be open with Rich The Kid declining the honor via Instagram where he told fans, "Please stop congratulating me on the XXL Freshman they chose me & I happily declined."
Rich The Kid has certainly had a year worthy of the recognition with his track "New Freezer" featuring Kendrick Lamar raising his mainstream appeal with "Plug Walk" proving to be more than a solid follow up single. Not to mention his beef with Lil Uzi Vert keeps his name buzzing.
