Gervonta "Tank" Davis made waves this past week when he publicly toyed with the possibility of crossing over to fight in the UFC.

Bantamweight Brian Kelleher and lightweight Kevin Lee were among the mixed martial artists to join fans in commenting on the tweet he put out in order to express his interest in switching up. On Friday, March 16, Davis told TMZ it was actually a challenge that was issued to him by a UFC fighter some time back that actually piqued his curiosity in potentially making such a move. The more he's thought about it, the more convinced Davis says he's become, that he'll be successful in making the transition.

"I come from Baltimore. Baltimore City. We wrestle. We hit you up top and then we wrestle you. You know what I mean? So, I think I got it," Davis told TMZ. He was responding to a question into how well he believes he'd fare against guys who are allowed to use more than their fists to come out victorious.

Apparently, Davis is so confident that the headstart he got on the streets of B-More will prove sufficient, that he is willing to give the Las Vegas oddsmakers a pretty gutsy prediction to start the wagers with. "I think I got it - I believe I would be undefeated in the UFC too," he said.

The 23-year-old Davis has won all 19 of his fights as a professional boxer. Only one of the 19, did not end with him knocking his opponent out.
