Vanessa Trump, the wife of Donald Trump Jr., filed for divorce Thursday afternoon after close to 13 years of marriage, according to multiple reports.

The divorce documents were filed in Manhattan court and she's seeking an uncontested proceeding. According to TMZ, that means the couple has already negotiated the terms of the split, including child custody arrangements and property ownership.

The NY Post's Page Six reported on Wednesday that the couple had been experiencing problems, and according to several unnamed sources, had been "living separate lives." The sources cited Trump Jr.'s online behavior - criticizing a Parkland shooting survivor and liking posts from conspiracy theorists - as a catalyst for the split.

Sources who know the family tell TMZ the divorce had been "a long time coming" and the marriage had been "bad for a while," adding that Vanessa "hates politics and Don Jr. is gone all the time." A source tells the gossip site that Don Jr. is actually "relieved" by the break-up.

Problems in the marriage seem to have been exacerbated by an incident last month when Vanessa received an envelope containing a white powder and a threatening note aimed at Don Jr, though upon examination the substance turned out to be corn starch.

The couple, both 40, have been married since 2005 and have five children together.
