Donald Trump Jr.'s wife, Vanessa Trump, was taken to New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center today after opening a package that contained an unknown white powder.

The letter, that had a Boston postmark and was addressed to Trump Jr., contained a note that stated the sender was angry. After opening the letter, Vanessa began to feel dizzy and immediately the police were contacted. Vanessa along with two others in the apartment were taken to the hospital after being decontaminated by firefighters.

Vanessa took to Twitter to thank the FDNY, NYPD and the secret service:

"Thank you so much for all the help today in NYC! I appreciate all the quick response to make sure that I was safe ! Thank you @FDNY @SecretService @NYPDnews @NYPDCT @NewYorkFBI"

Donald Trump Jr. also thanked first responders via Twitter for all their help:

"A special thanks today to the great men & women of the @NYPDnews @FDNY @SecretService @NewYorkFBI and the Joint Terrorism Task Force for their decisive action and incredible words of support to my wife and family. Their professionalism under pressure made a rough day manageable."

NYPD Assistant Commissioner J. Peter Donald released a statement stating, "The substance was deemed to be nonhazardous and is being transported to a lab in New York City for further analysis."

The secret service also released a statement about the matter, "The Secret Service and our law enforcement partners in New York City are investigating a suspicious package addressed to one of our protectees received today in New York, New York. This is an active investigation and we cannot comment any further."
