Oprah Winfrey's Golden Globes speech was so ground-breaking, that news outlets and Americans across the country began debating the possibility of a Winfrey presidential run. In her speech, she makes a grand call for the #metoo and #timesup movements, which riled up the country.

Oprah didn't even declare a desire for the position of president. Still, she has kept relatively silent about all the press that has either painted her as the next great president or slammed her down as another unpoliticized citizen. Winfrey appeared on The Van Jones Show on Sunday and finally addressed the presidential speculation.

“I am not running for office," stated Winfrey. She continued on by stating, "I’m not ready to go there. But if I were running for office, and I will say to whoever is going to run for office, do not give your energy to the other side. Do not spend all your time talking about your opponents. Do not give your energy to that which you really don’t believe in. Do not spend an ounce of your time on that.”

“I would only speak where I feel that I can be heard,” answered Oprah when Jones asked her what she would do if she could speak to the president in private.
