Master P shared his productive visit to visit his brother in prison.
Two separate incidents led the District Court to serve Corey Miller, or "C-Murder," with a life sentence at Louisiana State Prison in Angola back in 2013.
A 2002 nightclub fight at Platinum Club that caused the wrongful death of Steve Thomas was seen as responsible by Miller. A year before that, another nightclub debacle in Baton Rouge fell on C-Murder when he tried to shoot a bouncer and club owner of Club Raggs. Fortunately, his gun jammed, according to The Advocate.
Since being in prison, Master P has been a consistent supporter of his brother, who has been maintaining his innocence. In a recent video, P shared an update on his sibling's well-being.
"I went to visit my brother in Angola Prison, he’s in good spirit. He told me that he wants to use his case and his life to help other young men not have to go through the unnecessary injustice that he’s been through. We laughed, we argued, we fussed and we fought but in the end we realized that there is nothing more important than family. We will be there when no one else will. Blood is thicker than water. You can choose your friends but not your family. Nothing is more important than love. We all we got. Free Corey Miller. God will turn this around. A man has come forward and confessed, there is also a videotape from the club that has not been used as evidence in the case but we have faith and trust in God. Thanks to all the fans for their prayers and support.”
This isn't the first time P has made sure to keep the hip-hop community in the loop regarding his brother. The rapper unveiled news that there was evidence proving Murder's innocence and plans to move forward with it. He has also described C's leadership role within the prison regarding a hunger strike he and other inmates were taking due to the prison's harsh living conditions.
