Former No Limit rapper C-Murder, aka Corey Miller, has spent the last decade behind bars for a second-degree murder charge at Louisiana's notorious Angola prison. According to Murder's brother, Master P, the rapper has joined a hunger strike to protest the deplorable conditions in the penitentiary.

"Free Corey Miller!" wrote P on Instagram Wednesday. "Thanks to all the fans that’s been praying for my brother. He’s on a hunger strike in Angola. He’s been locked up for a crime he didn’t commit. Somebody has confessed and they even have footage, that they don’t want to put in the case. My brother is no angel and has done a lot of dumb stuff like most. But I love him and i will fight for him to bring awareness to this injustice. You can’t choose your family but you can choose your friends. When it get real we all we got."

Miller revealed his plans to take part in the hunger strike while speaking with AllHipHop last week.

"I am now on a hunger strike to fight these injustices against my peers and against myself,” said Miller. “Only in Angola can a Warden be arrested for rape and continue to serve as an officer in this Louisiana Penal System. This Warden has an abundant amount of racism and physical harm complaints against him from other inmates. We need an internal affairs investigation now. We cannot survive or live in such deplorable and inhumane conditions […] Angola is a disaster. At a moment’s notice, we can die for voicing our opinion. But a voice must be heard. Even a whisper can be heard if you listen closely. A hunger strike is the whisper I bring.”
