Since last May, the internet has been taken by the #DiddyCrop, which resurfaced after a photo on the famed entertainer's Instagram page cut out French Montana and Fabolous.

In a video posted to social media, we see Sean Combs greet Fabolous a bit awkwardly after the incident. "Sup man? You alright? You good?" Diddy beings. "You know I ain't have nothing to do with that. Where he at?" Diddy laughs. At that point, he plucks his photo editor, Kaito, from a crowd that includes DJ Khaled and Lenny S. "Everybody welcome the designing inventor of the 'DiddyCrop' and the 'DiddyShop'. Kaito crop top," Diddy says while everyone laughs.

Recently, Diddy explained the phenomenon during a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "Sometimes my photography editor, he doesn't let me know when he's taking people out of the pictures," he told the host. The hashtag first popped up after the Met Gala last spring, when the mogul posted a picture to his Instagram account featuring Wiz Khalifa, the Migos, Travis Scott & Jaden Smith. Trouble is, Kylie Jenner had already posted the full version, featuring her sister Kendall. Both were quite noticeably gone from Diddy's version.

Most recently, French Montana was wiped out of a pic with Kendrick Lamar, JAY-Z and Nas. Diddy did come to his defense saying, "There were people taken away that didn't deserve to be taken away."
