Diddy made a fashionably late appearance on the Ellen Degeneres show on Thursday (February 8). The rap mogul talks about his overshadowed Super Bowl performance and if he is in the running to become an owner of the Carolina Panthers. He then explains the #DiddyCrop to the comedian, as his use of social media has landed him in some hot water with friends.

Diddy is always out and about with his celebrity contemporaries, and it seems like he never misses an opportunity for a photo. If you follow the Harlemite on social media, you will notice that many times some people are cropped out or photoshopped out of the pictures he posts. The latest instance of this happened when an image of JAY-Z, Kendrick, and Nas was posted on Diddy's Instagram account with the caption "3 Kings." Initially, it was the three lyricists in the photo along with French Montana and Fabolous, but they were edited out of the one Diddy posted.

"Apparently, there are photos that you crop people out of, I know nothing about this but tell me what's happening," says Ellen as the rap mogul chuckles to himself.

"There's this thing on social media called the #DiddyCrop. You know, I take a lot of pictures with a lot of different celebrities because we're just all family and stuff. And, sometimes my photography editor doesn't let me know when he's taking people out of the pictures."

Diddy jokes that because of this some of his friends have not spoken to him in two weeks.

“There were people that were taken away that didn’t deserve to be taken away, I had nothing to do with it,” Diddy told Ellen. “It was just this young kid that works for me; he wanted a picture of Jay-Z, Nas, and Kendrick.” Brother Love does clarify to say that this photo, in particular, is a photoshop edit and not just a mere crop.

Listen to Diddy explain himself at the 6:00 mark of the video clip.
