"I'm tired of being traded. That's not a good thing, but I just want to be where I'm wanted. I like it here. It hasn't been as planned, but I definitely want to be here. We definitely have a real chance to win an NBA championship, and I want to be a part of that," stated Isaiah Thomas just one day before being traded from the Clevland Cavaliers to the Los Angles Lakers. The statement was made after the Cavs beat the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The trade deadline closed yesterday. The deal came as surprise to many, rumors surrounding the Cavs speculated that they were targeting DeAndre Jordan. According to the Los Angeles Times, President of Basketball Operations Magic Johnson and General Manager Rob Pelinka expressed excitement when speaking to Thomas.

"We can't wait to get him here," said Pelinka. "He's so excited. Magic, you can tell them."

"We talked to him, he's so excited. Said his father was born and raised in Inglewood, so he's really excited," stated Magic.

According to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell, Coach Walton spoke highly of Thomas, stating that, "He's a great player. He's still coming back from injuries, so the (more time he has on the court) the better (he'll get)."
