Azealia Banks spends a substantial amount of time on social media. The Harlem born rapper signed with Interscope Records six years ago, but the starlet has become more infamous for her tweets than her music. The 60th Annual Grammy Awards aired Sunday night from Madison Square Garden in New York. The award ceremony caught heat from the feminist movement; Although several female artists were nominated in major categories, the only televised lead female winner was Alessia Cara. She was able to take home a major golden gramophone for Best New Artist (SZA was snubbed on 5 nominations for her album CTRL).

In response to the lack of female winners, several supporters of the feminist movement have voiced their discontent with The Recording Industry. Their complaints have been heard by none other than Azealia Banks, who was quick to take to social media to respond.

In a meme-styled rant, Banks states that white females are "crying about underrepresentation at the Grammys as if white female artists don't lead the pack at the Grammys EVERY FREAKING YEAR." This isn't the first time the rapper has attacked white feminism.

In response to feminist marches in 2017, Banks took to social media to state: "Be careful with this women's march ladies and be careful with mainstream feminism. Be very very careful. The support white feminism demands from the world is not the same support it gives back."
