In an attempt to rid the hip-hop culture of drinking lean, DJ Mustard made his move in the initiative.

Popping pills and walking around with double styrofoam cups has become a huge part of what rap is these days. So much so, it's been celebrated among music listeners who end up thinking never being sober is the "cool" thing to do.

Despite the hype, the "Whole Lotta Lovin" hitmaker is making it known that he's not into the dangerous trend anymore. Mustard took to Instagram to record himself pouring the promethazine/codeine mix down the drain saying, "Kick that motherrf*****g cup. I'm back. It's over." This follows after Mustard tweeted condolences after Fredo Santana's passing.

Mustard isn't the first artist to take steps towards a healthier lifestyle. G Herbo interviewed with XXL to explain why he gave up the "purple drank" back in 2016. Lil Uzi Vert took Lil Peep's accidental drug overdose seriously and shared that he's going sober, but "was having withdrawal symptoms." Chance the Rapper has even opened up about his past Xanax problem, where he was taking it every day.

No matter how long it takes, later is better than never. Congratulations, DJ Mustard!
