"War ain't about who's right. Sometimes it's about who's left."

The first official trailer for Dame Dash's film Honor Up was released this past Monday. The movie is to release in select theaters next month and is executive produced by Kanye West.

The cast of the gritty, crime saga will include Cam'Ron, Dame, Stacey Dash, Smoke DZA, Blackface, and Murda Mook with appearances by Nicholas Turturro and JuJu - Cam's former girlfriend of ten years. Stacey is littered throughout the trailer despite saying she has no connection to her cousin's movie.

"I’m sorry that my cousin Damon Dash is using our family relationship to advertise his movie. I have no written contract with him or Kanye West’s company (who I have had no dealings with at all). No one is authorized to use my name or photograph for “Honor Up,” she promptly tweeted.

The film's synopsis states the story creates "a deadly underworld where beats pound as bullets fly and even outlaws must live by the code." The film focuses on the main character played by Dame in the conflict that arises between his loyalty to his family and what it means to honor the street code.

Will this film live up to what Dame was able to create with Paid and Full and State Property? The world will get to see as it will be available on demand and in select box offices on February 16th.
