Earlier we reported that former Roc-A-Fella CEO Dame Dash would be directing a new full-length feature film starring himself, Cam’ron and cousin, Stacey Dash. The project was to feature Kanye West as executive producer, marking the first time Ye and Dame have teamed up with each other since the Roc-a-Fella glory days. This was deemed as a controversial decision for many members of the black community because of Stacy Dash’s affiliation with the Republican Party and her viewpoints as a contributor to Fox News.

However, it turns out that Stacey Dash has nothing to do with the project and is actually calling out Dame for using their relationship as cousins to bolster attention for his upcoming movie. According to Dash, no contracts have been provided by Kanye or Dame nor is anyone authorized to use her picture or name for the project. Stacey wrote this on Twitter shortly after Dame posted the poster for the movie:

‘I’m sorry that my cousin Damon Dash is using our family relationship to advertise his movie. I have no written contract with him or Kanye West’s company (who I have had no dealings with at all). No one is authorized to use my name or photograph for “Honor Up.”’
