Recently, music mogul and former Roc-A-Fella CEO Damon Dash posted a picture to social media of a potential movie starring himself, Cam’ron and cousin Stacey Dash. The project is rumored to be executive produced by Kanye West in collaboration with Dame Dash. Dame teased of this potential project with a trailer a few years back under the name "Too Honorable", but somewhere along the lines, the project went into limbo and seemingly was forgotten about. Now, Dame has released a poster of the movie under a new title, Honor Up, and With Kanye West on board as an executive producer, the project should garner much-deserved attention. Sources also indicate that Styles P and Murda Mook will also be making appearances in smaller roles.
This movie represents Damon Dash’s first effort at directing a full-length movie since 2005’s State Property, which was not highly acclaimed. Although hype is beginning to swirl around the potential project, no script or information regarding the plot has been made available and very little is known about the production of the movie overall. Dame and Kanye have a known relationship since their time together at Roc-A-Fella so it should be interesting to see how a collaborative project between them plays out.
