A University Park woman has been arrested and charged after shooting a woman in the arm during a Facebook Livestream. Labritney Austin, 29, turned herself in to Chicago police around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, less than two hours after the shooting was broadcast live. Austin is accused of shooting a 27-year-old woman in the shoulder after they got into an argument around 2:55 p.m.

The woman was broadcasting live on Facebook while she approached and got into an argument with Austin on the South Side of Chicago, police said. The victim observed Austin's gun and asked, "What you gonna do with it?" "I'm not worried about that gun," the victim screamed as the argument between the two continued.

After what appeared to be an off-camera tussle, Austin then fired the gun. The victim is seen writhing in agony as she tells her friends to call 911 because Austin had shot her. The video was widely shared on other social media platforms after broadcasting live on Facebook. The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital where she was listed in stable condition.

Austin was charged with aggravated battery by discharging a firearm. She was scheduled to appear in bond court Friday.
