It appears the Big Baller Brand is building a following overseas.
On Wednesday (Jan 3), LaVar Ball and sons LiAngelo and LaMelo arrived in Lithuania to a media frenzy as the teenagers are set to play for basketball club Prienu Vytautas. After exiting the plane, the Ball trio was swarmed by photographers and cameramen who wanted to capture the moment their arrival.
The enthusiastic entrance caps a chaotic journey for and LaVar and his youngest sons. Back in October, LaVar pulled his youngest son LaMelo from high school to focus on his pursuit of an NBA career. In December, LaVar Ball pulled his son LiAngelo from UCLA after he was suspended indefinitely alongside two other teammates for shoplifting from a Louis Vuitton store in China.
The Ball brothers are set to make their debut with Prienu Vytautas on Jan 9. Vytautas head coach Virginijus Seskus told ESPN's Jeff Goodman that LiAngleo and LaMelo should expect to see significant amounts of playing time. “They are young, but I can promise that they will play a lot and I hope we will help them to get better and they will help us to win more games. We are waiting for them. Don't worry; they will play!" Seskus explained.
