Eminem’s ninth studio album, Revival, leaked just two days before it’s December 15th release date. Because of streaming, album leaks have become less common and even less of a problem for artist and labels than it was just a few years ago. Slim Shady’s new album features guest appearances by Beyonce, Phresher, Kehlani, Skylar Grey, Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys, P!nk, and X Ambassadors.

If you check on Twitter, there are mixed reviews of the highly-anticipated LP. Some say it’s incredible, while others think it’s a disaster. The lead singles Walk on Water featuring Beyoncé and Untouchable also had similar responses. On Rick Rubin’s podcast, Broken Record, Eminem discussed that Walk on Water addresses the overwhelming pressure he feels to deliver a perfect verse every time he opens his mouth.

Eminem raps on the track, “It’s the curse of the standard/ That the first of the Mathers disc set/ Always in search of the verse that I haven’t spit yet/ Will this step just be another misstep/ To tarnish whatever the legacy, love or respect, I’ve garnered?/ The rhyme has to be perfect, the delivery flawless."

Are you excited to hear Em's new album on Friday?
