By now, everyone has heard about the shooting that involved Young Dolph. The rapper was shot on Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue in Los Angeles after a confrontation took place with three other men. Yo Gotti was suspected of the shooting initially, but that changed when Corey McClendon was arrested on Wednesday. McClendon has since been released without charges.

After his released, the Los Angeles district attorney office said prosecutors have requested for McClendon to be further investigated.

Greg Risling, a spokesman for the Los Angeles District Attorney's office, made the following statement: "Under California law, if you are arrested and booked and no charges are filed within 48 hours, you have to be released," Risling said. He said police must gather further evidence, "come back to us with a case and then (the district attorney) will decide whether to file charges."

It is unclear what part McClendon played in the shooting but as the story develops, we will keep you posted.
