With rumors running rampant about Charlie Sheen having contracted the HIV virus, the esteemed actor visited the TODAY Show this morning to finally admit the truth. "It's a hard three letters to absorb. It's a turning point in one's life," Sheen told Matt Lauer during the live broadcast.

The former Two and a Half Men star admitted he was diagnosed with the human immunodeficiency virus "roughly four years ago." "I'm here to admit that I am in fact HIV-positive," he confessed. "And I have to put a stop this barrage of attacks of sub-truths and very harmful and mercurial stories that threaten the health of so many others, which couldn't be farther from the truth."

Sheen said he's told "enough" people that he's trusted over the years after he began to notice peculiar symptoms - oddly enough, the actor thought he had a brain tumor. Since finding out, Charlie Sheen has paid people millions to keep his secret. "What people forget is that's money they're taking from my children, They think it's just me but I have five kids and a granddaughter, you know?"
