The back and forth between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-Un continues, as Trump has taken to his favorite platform—Twitter to once again come at the North Korea leader. While at a rally in Alabama for Senator Luther Strange, Trump said: “And by the way, the Rocket Man should’ve been handled a long time ago.” From there, Kim responded to Trump by saying he was a “dotard” and “deranged.” Along with that, he also noted that the United States would “pay dearly” for Trump’s comments.

Since then, North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho made an appearance in front of the United Nations General Assembly this past Saturday, only hours after the United States flew bomber jets near the rogue nation. Ri said, “Through such prolonged and arduous struggle, now we are finally only a few steps away from the final gate of completion of the state nuclear force.” Trump responded to Ri’s words via Twitter, saying “Just heard Foreign Minister of North Korea speak at U.N. If he echoes thoughts of Little Rocket Man, they won’t be around much longer!” Previously, Trump announced that new U.S. sanctions were put in place to allow the targeting of companies that facilitate and finance trade with North Korea.
