The United States military went above and beyond past demonstrations of readiness to engage in conflict with the Kim Jong Un regime on Saturday, when a pair of fighter jets were sent to fly further North, along the hermit state's coast than any U.S. military enterprise has in a century.

"This mission is a demonstration of U.S. resolve and a clear message that the president has many military options to defeat any threat. North Korea’s weapons program is a grave threat to the Asia-Pacific region and the entire international community," chief Pentagon spokeswoman, Dana White, said of the provocative move. "This mission is a demonstration of U.S. resolve and a clear message that the president has many military options to defeat any threat," said White.

White went on to call North Korea's weapons program "a grave threat to the Asia-Pacific region and the entire international community," before confirming that the U.S. B-1 bomber and F-15 fighter jet had covered unprecedented international airspace territory along the nation's eastern coastline in "a show of force."

The jet missions come amid ramped up rhetoric and fresh round of threats between Trump and Jim Jong. Most recently Kim Jong has responded to Trump naming him "Rocket Man" by calling him mentally deranged. There have also been the threats of destruction, with Pyongyang being delivered the addressed with the fighter jets on Saturday after Kim Jong threatened to detonate a hydrogen bomb in the region.
