Previously, North Korea threatened to detonate a nuclear weapon over the Pacific Ocean. It seems as if the rogue nation is testing the boundaries on what could possibly start a war with the United States, and the current POTUS is feeding directly into it. After North Korea made their threat, Trump took to his favorite platform Twitter, around 6:30 AM to deliver some words of his own to Kim Jong-un. Trump said, “Kim Jong Un of North Korea, who is obviously a madman who doesn’t mind starving or killing his people, will be tested like never before!”

Trump’s statements mirror those of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who said that the United States would continue to push forward with diplomatic solutions to peace, but that they are also open to using their military. The insults are not one-sided, as Kim Jong-un previously called Trump a “mentally deranged US dotard,” meaning an elderly senile person. From there, the North Korea dictator threatened to “tame” Trump with “fire.” Tensions between North Korea and the United States rose after Trump delivered an intense speech to the United Nations earlier this week. Despite the back and forth, North Korea ally China is calling for some form of restraint between both nations.
