The United Nations has not been in support of North Korea’s actions in the past few months, which has led them to recently impose a new sanction that bans North Korean textile exports and also restricts shipments of oil products. Because of that, the rogue nation warned that they would make the United States “suffer the greatest pain” they’ve ever experienced. North Korean UN ambassador Han Tae-Song issued a statement while speaking to the UN, saying “The forthcoming measures by [North Korea] will make the US suffer the greatest pain it has ever experienced in its history.” Song also noted that the United States “fabricated the most vicious sanction resolution” with their ban on textiles and gas to the rogue nation.

U.S. ambassador Nikki Haley spoke to the United Nations this past Monday, saying the new measures to be implemented were a message to the rogue nation that “the world will never accept a nuclear-armed North Korea.” Despite her declaration, she noted that the U.S. wanted to see a peaceful outcome to all of the issues. Haley said “We are not looking for war. The North Korean regime has not yet passed the point of no return. If North Korea continues its dangerous path, we will continue with further pressure. The choice is theirs." The ban comes after North Korea recently conducted their sixth nuclear test, which was the largest.
