John Ernest Cross, 30, of Clark Fork, IA is being charged with aggravated assault after sheriff's deputies responded to a call reporting that Cross was on drugs and was pointing a rifle at another man, demanding that he moonwalk.
Judge Barbara Buchanan sustained Cross' $20,000 bail on Tuesday and ordered a public defender to represent him.
A probable cause affidavit describes Cross' weapon as appearing to be an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle, but during his court appearance he insisted that it was an air soft pellet gun.
