Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez were once one of Hollywood's powerhouse celebrity couples, but the two announced last year that they were separating. Anthony actually filed for divorce last week, and reports have surfaced that he never wanted the split to occur.
Supposedly, Marc was hoping for a possible reconciliation between the two, but Lopez wanted no part of it as she began dating Casper Smart.
A source close to the matter revealed that the former couple had a face-to-face sit down to discuss things, and Anthony was told by Lopez that she wanted to indeed end the marriage and pursue a relationship with Casper Smart. News of J Lo and Smart's relationship shocked Anthony. TMZ states that he was "blindsided" by the discovery.
Anthony is seeking joint custody of their two kids and doesn't want to provide any type of spousal support to his ex-wife. He's also requesting that they each pay their own legal fees.
The two were married back in 2004.
