Spike Lee was in hot water after he posted what he thought was George Zimmerman's address online, which turned out to be the address of an innocent elderly couple. The couple were so terrified after their address was splashed online that they moved out of their home for safety reasons.

Spike Lee has since apologized regarding the incident, and urged his Twitter followers to leave the couple alone.

"I deeply apologize to the McClain family for retweeting their address. It was a mistake. Please leave the McClain's in peace. Justice in court."

The confusion with the address stemmed from the woman's son, William George Zimmerman, living there in 1995. This is not the same George Zimmerman who shot and killed Trayvon Martin in February.
