The New Black Panther Party was founded in Dallas, Texas, in 1989, and has openly expressed that they believe black Americans should have their own nation.  According to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the New Black Panthers "is a virulently racist and anti-Semitic organization whose leaders have encouraged violence against whites, Jews and law enforcement officers."

After the tragic fatal shooting of unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin by the trigger-happy fingers of local Sanford, florida neighborhood Watch Captain George Zimmerman, the Black Panthers have been in an uproar.

The group openly announced on CNN that they're offering a $10,000 reward for Zimmerman's capture, and they stated that he should be fearful of his life.

Well, after the recent arrest of the New Black Panther Party chief of staff, Hashim Nzinga, 49, for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, it would appear that the Panthers mean business and Zimmerman should be afraid.

Nzinga was convicted last month for felony deposit account fraud in Gwinnett County, so this prior conviction made his pawning of an FN Herstal 5.7 x 28 handgun illegal, and thus lead to his arrest.  He was arrested at a probation office in Lawrenceville and later transported to Dekalb County Jail.

Despite their leader's current incarceration, the Black Panther party will not give up their search for Zimmerman.  They are calling for a mobilization of 10,000 black men to capture Zimmerman.  Mikhail Muhammad, the Black Panther leader, commented on the Zimmerman situation this past Saturday.

"An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.  He should be fearful for his life.  You can't keep killing black children."
