After expressing her excitement about possibly collaborating with her good friend Rihanna in the near future, Katy Perry used a bad choice of words to demonstrate what she wanted their song to be like, and what she didn't want it to be like.  Katy said:

"We've collaborated on a lot of things, but just not songs yet. It's one of those things that's got so much build-up that we have to deliver.  I want it to be like that Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin song 'Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves,' not 'Beautiful Liar.' But I definitely want to do something that is so iconic."

After her poor choice of words spurred on loads of responses from various media sources - that Katy Perry was randomly dissing Beyonce for whatever reason, Katy retaliated with a very heated Tweet aimed at the media.

In her Twitter post, Katy firmly defends the fact that she was not trying to diss Beyonce or anyone else, and takes a big shot at the media for putting her comment on blast.

Check out the Tweet here.  Do you think Katy went a little too hard with her response to the media's take on her "Beautiful Liar" comment?
