It seems like music is becoming a uniting force these days.  In the past, many labels and artists would be in constant competition with each other to gain that top spot, instead of link up and create great music together.  Not to say that there still isn't competition, but more and more record companies are willing to branch out and work together, which is a positive step forward for music as a whole.

Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith, the founder of Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), has recently stated that his label has "just closed" a joint venture deal with Aftermath and Interscope Records.  Kendrick Lamar's upcoming album - which is still untitled - will be jointly released by TDE, Interscope, and Aftermath.  Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, and Schoolboy Q, will all have their future projects jointly released by TDE and Interscope.
