VH1 announced yesterday that they will be making a series of celebrity TV biopics, with the first being legendary girl group, TLC. The screenplay will be written by Kate Lanier, who is responsible for "Set It Off", "What's Love Got To Do With It", and "Beauty Shop". The surviving members of the group Chilli and T-Boz will be producers and consultants for the movie.

TLC has a very interesting story from their rise to fame, and being the one of the most successful girl groups, to filing for bankruptcy. It can also give us a look into the unseen life of their deceased member Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes. She was the feisty one in the group, who shocked the nation when she set fire to her boyfriends house, and even more when she suddenly died in Honduras. T-Boz and Chilli are noted as happy to be able to revive the legacy of their lost band mate.

No word on when the biopic is scheduled to premiere. Csating a group of crazy, sexy, cool ladies is the biggest step in this project as the story writes itself.
