Country singer Hank Williams Jr. will no longer be the singer featured at the beginning of ESPN's Monday Night Football, due to a comment he made during an interview with Fox & Friends.

Williams said that Speaker John Boehner made a "political mistake" by joining Obama for a game of golf, because the meeting was "like Hitler playing golf with Benjamin Netanyahu".

Within hours, ESPN released this statement:

"While Hank Williams Jr. is not an ESPN employee, we recognize he is linked closely to our company through the opening to Monday Night Football," the company said in a statement. "We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result have decided to pull the open from tonight's telecast."
