The president of the Italian basketball team, Virtus Bologna, said he has an agreement with Kobe Bryant that is "95 percent done" for the NBA super-baller to play for the team during the NBA lockout.

Bryant will be very well paid for his involvement - $3 million for the first 40 days of the Italian league season, a person with knowledge of the negotiations told the Associated Press.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal has not been signed.
