Two students at the University of Sydney have written a musical about the life of Kanye West. According to them, the musical will be a lighthearted story on Ye's life and rise to fame.

"I'm a big Kanye fan," said Philip Roser, one of the creators of the play. "I thought that a musical in his honour would be a lot of fun to put on. I really just meant the show to be something fun for my friends to see and I'm pretty excited by all the attention it's been getting."

Roser will play the role of Kanye while co-creator Damien Higginbotham will take on the role of Kanye's late mother Donda.

Higginbotham will also play fashion designer Marc Jacobs. The musical is slated for Sept. 5 through Sept. 7.
