FedEx has announced that they have found radioactive rods used for medical equipment that went missing during shipment between North Dakota & Tennessee.
A FedEx spokeswoman Sandra Munoz said the rods that are used for quality control purposes were found at the Knoxville, Tennessee's facility.
The company had to notify police this week after the rods went missing while being sent from Fargo, North Dakota to Knoxville. The spokeswoman mentioned the rods didn't pose any potential danger as long as they were not removed from the metal cylinder in which they were stored.
She said the cylinder had apparently separated from the rest of the package during shipping and was identified on Friday.
