Part 2: Tarso Tito Dominguez on Making His First Marijuana Deal in the Middle of the Ocean
Part 1: Escobar's Drug Smuggler Tito Dominguez on Kidnapping Scammer to Get His $100K Back

--------

In this VladTV interview, Tito “TJ” Dominguez recounts the high-risk shift from marijuana runs between Miami, the Bahamas and Colombia to cocaine transportation in the early 1980s. After a botched airdrop left him owing $800,000 to Colombian traffickers from La Guajira, Dominguez says he was kidnapped in Kendall, south of Miami, and given 24 hours to pay. His solution: fly a Beechcraft-style plane he called “Gigi,” the “Gray Ghost,” to move 450 kilos of cocaine — an event he says later appeared in one of his indictments.

Dominguez also describes meeting Pablo Escobar, Gustavo, and Escobar’s Miami representative Ramirez, negotiating kilo rates, using radios and code names like “Ciclón,” and securing a Bahamas airport through bribery. The conversation offers a firsthand look at drug smuggling logistics, cartel pressure, and the dangerous line between marijuana trafficking and the cocaine trade.
