Part 1: Billionaire Ossi Ketola: I Made $10K a Month in Runescape at 13 Years Old
--------
Ossi Ketola sits down with Vlad to recount how he entered the online poker world as a teenager in Finland, launching Big Boy Bets with a partner while still high-school age. Ketola explains how the poker website used its own currency, grew quickly, and became a substantial business before partnership problems derailed everything. After dropping out of school around ninth grade to work full-time on the venture, he says he was “major scammed,” lost control of the company, and ended up broke despite having built something that would go on to generate millions.
In this clip, Ketola reflects on early entrepreneurship, the risks of weak contracts, trusting the wrong people, and the pressure of building an internet gambling business before adulthood. He also discusses how his parents reacted and how Finland’s school system allowed him to leave after completing nine grades.
