Part 1: Poetik Flakko on Vlad's Lawsuit Against Aries Spears Over Unauthorized Video
--------
Poetik Flakko and DJ Vlad break down hip-hop’s shifting definition of “bigger” and “more impactful,” debating Future’s cultural influence versus J. Cole’s conscious rap legacy. Vlad revisits the era when Public Enemy, Chuck D, Flavor Flav and the Bomb Squad pushed politically charged music to the top with classics like *It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back*, *Fear of a Black Planet* and “Fight the Power,” even influencing Ice Cube’s *AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted*. The discussion turns to today’s biggest rap names — Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J. Cole and Future — before Spotify monthly listener numbers challenge assumptions and support Flakko’s argument about Future’s reach. Flakko also addresses rap’s impact on drug culture, street violence, South Central, inner-city communities and the divide between everyday civilians and the small percentage driving crime in neighborhoods across America.
