Former Patriarca crime family soldier Vincent “Gigi” Marino sits down with VladTV to recount his early life in Boston and Revere, his path from aspiring Massachusetts State Trooper to armed robber, and the street decisions that led to decades behind bars. Marino details how discovering the truth about his biological father, Edward Marino, changed his outlook, and how stickups escalated into bank robberies, nightclub jobs, and armored car hits.
In this segment, Marino breaks down an armored truck robbery that erupted into gunfire when a guard pulled his weapon. Though no one was hit, the crew escaped with the wrong bag—filled with change. He also recalls a North End Boston bank robbery near FBI agent John Connolly and Boston Police official Eddie Walsh, a dye-pack disaster, mob pressure, and a smoother $150,000 score using a telephone company truck. Marino also discusses New Hampshire charges, a suppression hearing, and his long prison history.
