In this VladTV segment, Tampa-based security professional Black Label reflects on his final contact with Jacksonville rapper Foolio, also known as Julio Foolio, on the night he was killed in Tampa. Black Label says Foolio reached out via Instagram about coming to the city, starting at an Airbnb and later going out, but never sent the required deposit to lock in security services.
He explains why he believes professional protection could have changed the night’s decisions, including avoiding the Holiday Inn parking lot where Foolio was ambushed after plans shifted from the Airbnb and a stop near Club 218. Black Label also discusses Foolio’s long-running Florida rap beefs, his status as a highly targeted artist, conversations about respect in rival neighborhoods, and the emotional impact of hearing the news. Vlad also references his interview with Foolio’s mother and the larger tragedy surrounding violence in hip-hop.
